James Harris - drums, vocals, keys

James' earliest influences were his parent's extensive record collection and his Dad's guitar. At age 8 he began piano, then around age 13, drums (thanks to older bro!). He's been involved with music since those early years: School bands through to rock outfits. First, a family outfit, "Setting Sons" then later with future Tramplers bandmate Carl Boldy ("CCD" - the acronym remains contested).

Early influences are all over the map: '60s Folk/Roots/R&B, '70s Classic/Prog Rock, Brit Mod/Ska revival, '80s new wave, '90s Alt Rock and Electronica. The Tramplers have a diverse yet discerning taste in music, reflected in their song selections. All killer, no filler!

James plays Pearl drums, Pork-Pie snare, Pearl/Gibraltar hardware, Sabian/Zildjan cymbals - but would play anything for a sweet sponsorship deal... any DW, Ayotte reps out there?
